Fun Fact!

The Erie Canal Museum is home to the only weighlock building in the United States! A weighlock is a specialized canal lock designed to determine the weight of barges to assess toll payments. 

Hours:

Monday through Saturday: 10:00am — 5:00pm

Sunday: 10:00am — 3:00pm

Closed on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Museum Admission:

Admission to the Museum is by Donation. A $5.00 suggested donation is greatly appreciated.
